Her musical background only nurtured her natural talents which saw her becoming a member of her school choir. She later represented her local Community choirs, and then moved from the community stages to the national ones. Her presence was felt when she released her debut album in 1997 titled Giligithi. Since then she has never ceased to amaze her followers. The fire in her voice, the message in her songs and the power and soul in her music is what makes her fans keep on wanting more.

She left her hometown of Willowvale in Umtata and came to the city of dreams and gold, Johannesburg.  Little did she know that the city of gold was waiting to praise her talent and passion.  FOR many years Kholeka was the first soul sister from Bula Music where she released five best selling gospel albums –   Bambelela, Masizilungisele, Umkhulu Jehova, Uyabizwa and Linamandla Eligazi.  SHE then parted ways with Bula Music to establish her own label Kholeka Music Production. Her new album SIYAKUVUMA is her first album to be released through this new company. When asked how she feels about this new development in her career, her response was: “I know it is a challenge, but I have been waiting for a long time to take this turn. I believe that my God will see me through. It is a sweet challenge which I am more than ready to take up”.   AS the first artist from this new production company, she is determined to work twice as hard and to set a good example to up and coming artists that she will sign to the company in the near future. She intends to remain vibrant, strong and God fearing. According to Kholeka this is what makes her stand out.

THIS anointed woman has been an inspiration to music lovers. With more than ten years on the music scene, she has developed and blossomed into an intelligent business woman.  HER music does not only reach gospel fanatics, but it crosses over to all music lovers.  KHOLEKA emphasizes the value of education and she believes in leading by example, she currently have Marketing (Course 1) with Technikon S.A. and Communication (Course 1) with UNISA and she is now pursue her Communication Degree with UNISA.
